Ownership and Care

How do I care for my Rubber Hunter Boots?

We at Hunter take a long time to make your boots, and in our experience there is no better way to make the kind of boot that we are happy to put our name to - you just can't rush perfection. We want you to enjoy your boots and for them to last. So, please be kind to them and follow the simple guidelines below to ensure they are loved and cared for!

HUNTER BOOT WARRANTY

Our handmade rubber boots including the Balmoral collection are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 12 months from date of purchase. This is not a guarantee against wear and tear, improper fitting/sizing or misuse of our products. In the event that your rubber footwear is defective, please return to your authorized Hunter Stockist with the valid proof of purchase for evaluation. All footwear must be cleaned thoroughly before being returned for evaluation. This does not affect your statutory rights. Warranty does not apply to the Original Tour Boot.

HUNTER RUBBER BOOT CARE

To ensure your rubber footwear stays in good condition wipe with lukewarm, soapy water after use and allow to dry naturally. We recommend the use of our range of Hunter Care Products to keep your rubber footwear looking its best. Store all footwear in a cool, dry, location avoiding direct contact with any heat source, extreme cold or sunlight. Do not store folded or creased.

Occasionally, you may notice a white powdery "bloom" on your Hunter rubber footwear, this is because rubber is a natural product and in certain conditions, insoluble particles may rise to the surface. This is a normal process, characteristic of high quality, natural rubber and nothing to be concerned about.

This process does not affect the performance or durability of your boots. A pristine finish and shine is easily restored with regular use of Hunter Boot Buffer, or Instant Boot Shine, available from good Hunter retailers, as well as from our online store. Hunter Boot Buffer is not suitable for use on footwear with a metallic finish.

When purchasing your Hunter boots, consider one of our care products to maintain the ‘like new' look of your Hunter Rubber Boots:

HUNTER WEARER ADVICE

Our range of rubber footwear has been designed for a variety of different purposes. Some styles are only suitable for light fashion wear as oppose to general use. This is detailed in the product specific information at hunter-boot.com. For moderate to heavy country use we recommend the Hunter Balmoral Range. For equestrian use we recommend the Balmoral Equestrian. If you require further advice regarding choosing a suitable style please contact your authorized Hunter Stockist or our Customer Service Team.

WARNING

There is an increased risk of slip with on-going sole wear. Exposure to solvents, oils and animal fats can swell the rubber, also increasing the risk of slip. Please note that Hunter Footwear contains natural latex rubber which some people may be allergic to. Some footwear and accessories with long trims are not suitable to be worn when near machinery.
